The article presents the current principles of studying human capital in the modern conditions of labor market development. This study reveals the results of an empirical study of human capital in industries. The article contains a description of the relationship between human capital, the labor market and the employment market in modern conditions. Solving socially significant problems of improving the quality of human capital requires elaboration of four issues in the context of the study: the relevance of studying human capital in the conditions of the development of the modern labor market; theoretical aspects of the relationship between human capital, the labor market and the employment market; the results of a survey-interview of experts in industries devoted to the management of human capital and its preservation; formulation of trends in the development of human capital in the sectors of Russian industry in modern conditions of the labor market.
