In the context of active digitalization of the entire socio-economic life in the Russian Federation, one of the most acute and urgent issues at present is the use of artificial intelligence, which has spread not only to knowledge-intensive industries, as it used to be, but also to everyday use by citizens for various purposes. The advantages of using artificial intelligence in business exacerbate competition, forcing attention to the need for its implementation, even by small companies. In the presented article, the concept of artificial intelligence is considered, the advantages of using artificial intelligence are systematized. Based on regulatory legal acts and examples of the use of artificial intelligence, its development in Russian industry was analyzed, taking into account state support and support from scientific organizations and development funds. The result of the study was the systematization of business processes of the enterprise, which can be optimized using artificial intelligence. The characteristics of the possible optimization of the business process of the enterprise and the result of such optimization are presented. It can be concluded that the prospects for the development of artificial intelligence in Russia are very favorable for the coming years in the context of active digitalization and import substitution with state support.
