Localization and preventing explosions pylegazovozdushnyh mixtures in coal mines with automatic systems, explosion suppression type ASVP-LV.1M and their modifications

Coal industry can rightly be attributed to the leader in the number of accidents. The creation of new systems of localization of explosions in coal mines is a key task to prevent them. These systems include automatic system of explosion suppression and localization of explosions of type – ASVP-LV.1M, the main purpose of which is to protect the workings area of explosions of coal dust and (or) methane-air mixture by creating an aerosol cloud of extinguishing powder. In this paper, the characteristics of the system ASVP-LV.1M were analyzed. A comparison of passive explosion suppression systems was carried out. The basic accidents in which the system was highly effective were presented. It is expected that ASVP-LV.1M systems will be modernized in the future with the development of more modern modifications and schemes of their installation in mines, which further enhance the climate of industrial safety in the coal industry.
