The oil industry is one of the leading industries in Russia. The industry considered is one of the leading on volume of corrosion inhibitors purchased, indicating that the really high proportion of corrosion deterioration takes place among a large number of facts that affect its safe operation. Corrosive wear is one of the major factors that effect on industrial safety for oil industry, which reduces the life of the equipment. This paper is devoted to the corrosive wear of equipment in oil industry. The basic mechanisms of corrosion deterioration in oil equipment were analyzed. Corrosive wear of equipment in the oil industry is a key problem that requires a quick solution. The development of new technical approaches to prevent the corrosive wear of the equipment is an important aspect, which in the future could significantly improve the level of industrial safety of hazardous production facilities.
