Corrosion of the pipeline in oil industry

Transportation of gas in the gas industry is one of the basic operations, which links processes with each other. The corrosion of pipelines has the large influence on their safe operation in gas industry. Cases of failure caused by corrosion of pipelines occur frequently. This corrosion is a major cause of accidents at pipeline transport of gas industry. This article is devoted to the problem of pipeline corrosion in the gas industry. The main types of corrosion are typical for the industry and ways to protect against its effects were presented. Development of new methods of corrosion is a major problem, whose solution is to be found in the future.
