Investigation of accidents in the chemical industry

Violation of requirements of industrial safety in the chemical industry for the most part leads to the appearance of the accidents. Therefore, an important aspect is to prevent such incidents at hazardous production facilities. Investigation of accidents makes it possible to identify a wide range of factors that led to it. This paper discusses the main approaches to the investigation of accidents in the chemical industry. The ways of the analysis of the causes of accidents and its role in the investigation of accidents were presented. Thus, the investigation of accidents is a major mechanism that regulates the trouble-free operation of hazardous production facilities of the chemical industry. The development of contemporary and modern requirements governing this process appears to be very effective in terms of improving industrial safety.
