Effects of fatigue on the safe operation of lifting equipment

Safe operation of lifting equipment links with the requirements of industrial safety, which many help to prevent the occurrence of accidents at hazardous industrial facilities. However, there are some features of these objects, which can lead to a very large reduction in operational safety of lifting equipment. Among the destructive factors that have a direct impact on the safe operation of such facilities, the fatigue of steel structures is also included. This article is devoted to the influence of fatigue on the safe use of lifting equipment. The main aspects of the identification of fatigue of metal structures for lifting equipment were analyzed. Fatigue of metal structures of lifting equipment is a very negative impact, reducing their safe operation. Research in the area of reducing the fatigue effect on lifting machines is a major challenge which will significantly improve the safety of operation of such facilities.
