Technical diagnostics of gas mains

Main gas pipelines are the main objects that are used for the transportation of gas in the oil and gas industry and by virtue of the chemical properties of the product to be moved are highly explosive and flammable. Most of pipelines operated for a long time and, therefore, the question arises assess their technical condition, as well as the establishment of the possibility of extending their life-time. The main event, which is aimed directly at the achievement of these goals is the technical diagnostics. This article describes the main aspects of technical diagnostics of gas pipelines. The main problems of diagnosing these objects were analyzed. Improved methods of technical diagnosis will significantly enhance the safety of pipelines and accurately determine their residual life-time.
