unlike traditional approaches to tracking changes in behavior in patients, now we can use the advances in mobile technology, to study their efficacy in improving behavioral and clinical outcomes. In this new era of almost universal possession of a mobile phone in the world, mobile technologies offer unprecedented potential in the prevention and self-management of chronic diseases. This article analyzes the research over the last 5 years on the use of mobile technologies in the prevention, treatment and rehabilitation of patients with diseases of the cardiovascular system.
