This article gives an overview of the of development of an optoelectronic surface profile sensor (primary sensor of various measuring instruments and systems) designed for non-contact measurement and control of surface profile, position, displacement, dimensions, recognition of technological objects, construction of 3D models. The description of the chosen design solution and the scheme of operation of the optical system is given. In particular, the calculation of the laser triangulation sensor is given and methods for increasing the measurement accuracy are described. In the article the structural scheme of the sensor and the conditions of its operation are presented.
