The leading cause of death in Russia is the circulatory system, in the Perm Krai the indicators exceed the national average. The prevalence of hypertension in 19% and tobacco smoking in 22% of the working population remain the main and leading risk factors for the young population, which requires correction and observation at the outpatient stage with the aim of changing the demographic situation. In 2016, it was with the goal of reducing mortality from cardiac pathology that a working group of the chief specialists of the Ministry of Health of the Perm Krai was established. The death rate from diseases of the circulatory system in 2016 in the Perm region reached 692.1 cases per 100 thousand people (in 2015 it was 725.4 per 100 thousand of the population).
