Child with pain in the hip joint and deformity of the lower limbs, manifested in the functional features of various amplitude and nature of the motor action, is a diagnostic challenge that requires careful analysis of the symptoms occurring. The pain is caused by pathological changes in the hip joint can be caused by a complex of genetic factors of development, injuries, diseases, character of motor activity and living conditions. It can be a precursor to serious disease that is increasingly affecting children of school age - coxarthrosis the Main prognostic factors in this case are the age of the child at the time of the development of the disease, the degree of limitation of range of motion and involvement of the femoral epiphysis, and any additional radiological signs of the risk of damage to the hip joint. Depending on the severity of the disease treatment options range from observation and therapeutic activities, including gentle treatment of motor activity, to surgical reconstruction of the hip. The goal of all methods of prevention and treatment is to prevent predstrahovoy deformation and subsequent premature development of osteoarthritis. This objective best suits the principle of containment, i.e. diverse procedures to maintain or restore joint congruence, whereas biological plasticity is still present. A more detailed description of the features of the development of coxarthrosis in children of school age and recommended preventive and therapeutic interventions presented by the author of this article.
