At the present stage enterprises are paying increasing attention to international best practices in the field of production management and looking for sources of organization's most effective production systems.
One of these practices is the theory of constraints. At the moment, the theory of constraints is one of the most popular concept in organization management. This theory is widely used in enterprises of almost all advanced countries of the world.The theory of constraints (Theory of Constraints, TOC) is a management methodology developed in the 1980-ies Eliyahu Goldratt, according to which no production system can't work faster than its slowest component. In other words, an industrial site, working with minimal speeds, or work post that is the least productive, set the pace for the whole production process, providing it with the restriction.
Restriction is a powerful management tool that allows companies to resolve systemic problems — finding the deep causes system conflicts. Often, in order to resolve conflict situations, companies find compromises. However, the compromise does not resolve key issues.
Theory Goldratt provides a universal means and tools to fully address deep-rooted problems in the business. The theory of constraints maintains that every system has a small number of constraints, and they are the key to its control.
This article presents the practical approach of the theory of constraints in automation of industrial enterprise on the basis of software product "1C: Enterprise 8"
