Ecological balance – a conceptual framework for environmental education

The category of "ecological balance" is considered as the conceptual basis of ecology as a science. Justified criticisms about common now in educational and scientific literature, the wording of this concept. Definition of ecological system and ecological balance in the framework of thermodynamic terms. The questions of sustainability of ecological balance. This definition of ecological crisis and disaster, as well as homeostasis of the ecological community, the community of living organisms and populations as derivatives of the concept of ecological balance.
