In the work presented verbal and formalized statement of the problem the study of optimal items and a rational number of calibration equipment metrological units the units. This approach, unlike existing, allows for a Park operated measuring instruments for military use in a military unit, allowable costs for the purchase of calibration equipment, the time allowed for carrying out calibration. Application of results of the decision of the task presented in work will allow to carry out scientific and technical and economic justification of the nomenclature and quantity of metrological divisions of system of metrological providing of Armed forces of the Russian Federation.
