The article substantiates the expediency of transfer of commercial enterprises from the conventional periodic valuation of commodity stocks by commodity groups for the continuous management of these stocks depending on the course of the sale of goods. It is shown how this problem can be solved using known mathematical theories section of operations research – the theory of inventory management and queuing theory.
