The role of intellectuals in the spiritual and moral transformation of society in the face of new global challenges

The article discusses one of the leading in the information age, social groups, whose interests lie in the field of intellectual activity. In the era of IT and agetsuchi or "knowledge society" intelligentsia is the leading "labor", if you can keep your benefits. The development of civilization depends on how humanity will be able to meet the challenges of the era, to ensure co-evolutionary development of natural and social systems. It lies in the fact that the material, social and spiritual components of a social entity (person, community, society, humanity as a whole) form a common structure, which should close the "corridor of evolution", otherwise, begin the regression, the decline of evolution. Given that the material (including natural) resources of humanity are depleted, the burden falls on the social and spiritual resources that creates the intelligentsia, including the scientific and the artistic.
