In this article the author analyzes how do state-owned TNCs influence on the European countries’ competitiveness as the largest are headquarted in Europe. In recent years UNCTAD presented data on an increasing role of this type of multinationals, thus the methodology is still improving. The author uses the global competitiveness index that is based on 12 main drivers of productivity. So you can see how the state-owned TNCs influence on each pillar of the index.
