Problems of changing the legal status of a joint-stock company

This article deals with certain issues of changing the legal status of a joint-stock company. The opinions of scientists expressed in the scientific literature, the legal regulation of the field under consideration, the materials of judicial practice and statistical data are studied. It is concluded that if the relevant amendments are made, many joint-stock companies that only formally meet the criteria of publicity will be able to acquire the status of non-public companies in a simplified manner.
