INSTITUTIONAL BASIS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT STRATEGIES

The purpose of the article is to determine the institutional aspects of the development and implementation of sustainable development strategies at the state level. The documents adopted at the international level within the framework of the UN Summits set requirements for the inclusiveness of sustainable development policy and form general recommendations for actions in the field of fulfilling obligations to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals by states. The key aspects of building an effective governance policy on the part of the state for the implementation of sustainable development strategies were identified. The results obtained can be used to assess the experience of implementing sustainable development strategies at the regional, national and local levels and to form recommendations for improving their effectiveness.
