THE DEVELOPMENT OF MEAT POULTRY FARMING IN RUSSIA: THE MAIN TRENDS

The article examines the main trends in the development of meat and poultry farming in Russia since 2016, taking into account modern problems and the development of import substitution based on special government measures. The great achievements of the sub-sector are noted, and the main directions in its development are highlighted, including the transition of broiler breeding based on national Russian crosses. It is noted that the modernization of the sub-sector is still far from completion, which was the result of many years of dependence of Russian poultry farming on imports.
