The article defines the importance of digitalization for the development of national innovation systems and studies the best international experience of digital transformation of innovation economies of Switzerland, Sweden, the United States of America, Singapore and the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, leading the Global Innovation Index 2024 with a view to its possible application in the Russian Federation.
