The interrelation between internal diseases and dental pathologies is becoming more and more challenging. The effect of chronic inflammatory periodontal disease on the development and the course of some somatic diseases including cardiovascular ones (CVD) is increasingly attracting clinicians’ attention. High prevalence of dental diseases among people suffering from CVD predetermine the continuous improvement of dental care for such people. The oral cavity of 204 hospitals in patients with CVD have been examined. High prevalence (100%) and intensity (21,5) of dental caries and also the need for prosthetics in 66,5% of the patients have been detected.
