This paper analyzes the results of femoral-popliteal and femoral-tibial shunting in the immediate and late postoperative period. Fifty-eight patients with chronic lower limb ischemia were selected, who were treated at the Department of Vascular Surgery, Orel Regional Clinical Hospital in the period from 2015 to 2018. The results of patient management were evaluated for 3 years. The use of an autovein or combined shunts is most reasonable, and among the most significant risk factors, poor patency or occlusion of superficial femoral artery according to preoperative angiography, diabetes mellitus, hypertension, high preoperative ischemia and type of trophic disorders were identified. Patients with a combination of such risk factors should in terms of 3, 6 months and 1 year after the operation first be checked with ultrasound monitoring and take prolonged therapy with atorvastatin and clopidogrel.
