The problem of electromagnetic compatibility in the context of the current level of development of scientific and technological progress is considered. The main features of bio-electromagnetic compatibility and the main scientific areas of research in this area are presented. Within the framework of the research in the scientific and technical field, calculations of the electromagnetic field strength and exposure time are presented, according to which it is possible to determine with a high degree of reliability the electromagnetic fields created by radio engineering objects that have very dangerous effects on the human body.
