The article presents a comparative study of the uncoating kinetics for the echovirus 11 variants that use different binding receptors (DAF or FcRn) and endocytic pathways (Arf6-associated or clathrin-dependent) to enter human rhabdomyosarcoma (RD) cells. Various effects of nocodazole were revealed by comparing kinetics of the infectious activity in the single cycle growth experiments with echovirus 11 variants. An increased concentration of FcRn in the perinuclear area of the cells was observed by immunofluorescence. A hypothesis of the intracellular convergence for the traffic of the echovirus 11 complex with the binding receptor DAF and the uncoating receptor FcRn in the perinuclear endocytic recycling compartment is discussed.
