Perfusion methods of cerebral protection in aortic arch surgery

The article is devoted to the methods review for intraoperative cerebral protection during surgical correction of aortic arch pathology. Cerebral protection is a problem of significant clinical importance, because neurological complications are one of the most devastating and lead to prolonged ventilation time and prolonged stay in the intensive care unit. Therefore modern extended surgical corrections of complex aortic pathology demand reliable neuroprotection.
