Objective. The objective of our study was to disclosed efficiency of use clinical and radiologic scoring systems for the early prediction of the severity of acute pancreatitis (AP).
Materials and methods. For this retrospective study, 431 patients with AP. Ultrasound and clinical laboratory data was analyzed with use of different grade: Ranson criteria, he bedside index for severity in acute pancreatitis (BISAP), scale SOFA, modified scale Marshall, radiologic Balthazar grade.
Results and conclusion. The largest sensitivity according to our data demonstrated BISAP and Ranson scoring systems (87,5% and 100% accordingly). Use Balthazar grade in ultrasoundmay demonstrated high diagnostic effectiveness (96,5%). Sharing clinical and radiologic scoring systems may be useful for the early prediction of the severity of AP and identification of high-risk patients who require close surveillance.
