The article discusses the practical application of programmable logic controllers of the "Aries" company for the automation of a single-position machine for injection molding of thermoplastic materials LPD 500/160. The article briefly discusses the solutions to the main problems of automation of injection molding machines: the choice of equipment and the creation of a user program. This article is written on a project that has a practical implementation in production when performing a major overhaul of equipment.
The purpose of this work is to show the main ways of solving the problems of automation of injection molding machines of this class.
