A special place in the structure of cardiovascular diseases is occupied by acute coronary syndrome, which in recent years tends to rejuvenate. In 40% of cases, acute coronary syndrome is combined with connective tissue dysplasia syndrome. The aim of this study was to assess the correlation between the levels of homocysteine, magnesium and hydroxyproline in patients with acute coronary syndrome associated with connective tissue dysplasia syndrome. Patients with acute coronary syndrome, with or without connective tissue dysplasia, have higher levels of homocysteine and hydroxyproline, as well as lower serum magnesium levels, compared with somatically healthy individuals. The most pronounced changes in the level of biomarkers are typical for patients with a combination of acute coronary syndrome and connective tissue dysplasia syndrome. Significant correlations were found between the levels of homocysteine, hydroxyproline and magnesium.

Keywords:acute coronary syndrome, syndrome of undifferentiated connective tissue dysplasia, homocysteine, magnesium, hydroxyproline.
