The effect of using a protective agent for the treatment of the lips mucosa

At the moment, the issue of improving the methods of local treatment of inflammatory processes on the lips is relevant, since they are characterized by a long course of the disease, aphthae, blisters, cracks often form on the mucosa, which, if not properly treated, can become secondarily infected. This determines the relevance of this study. The purpose of the study is to develop a protective agent - a film for the treatment of the mucous membrane of the lips. It was found that in case of damage to the lip mucosa, local conservative treatment is carried out, with a long course of a cracked lip, methods of surgical treatment are used. In conservative treatment, the drugs are applied to the mucous membrane of the red border of the lips, lubricating, leaving on cotton wool, gauze napkins, which is not always convenient for the patient. During the study, a protective agent was developed for the treatment of the mucous membrane of the lips, registration No. 2021112397 of the application dated 04/28/2021. The invented protective agent differs in that it uses Companaud PentElast-750 silicone, which can be recommended for the treatment of cheilitis. The easy-to-use technique made it possible, using our invention, to patients painlessly and in the shortest possible time to achieve rapid epithelialization of the mucous membrane and red border of the lips.
