The article analyzes the peculiarities of simulation modeling in mining. Development of simulation model is considered on an example of management of work of ventilation system of mine, for this purpose functioning of system has been presented in the form of two-component technological scheme. Categories of information flows necessary for development of a simulation model are also allocated. Separately, the graph of states of information management tasks of the mine ventilation system was formalized.
