In the conditions of the northern forest-steppe of the Tyumen region, the species richness and abundance of economically valuable species of herbaceous plants of birch pegs were studied. In the grass cover, 55 species of economically valuable plants of 11 genera of 21 families were found. 43 types of herbs are medicinal, 5 of them are used in official medicine. In second place in terms of representation of species are fodder plants and honey plants (30 species each). 29 types of herbs are distinguished by high decorative qualities. 19 species of plants are edible. The technical group includes tanning (10 species), dyeing (9 species) and essential oil plants (7 species). Due to the low abundance (sp-sol) of most species, the most promising direction of their economic use is the selection of valuable plant species for subsequent introduction into cultivation.
Keywords:economically valuable plants; grass cover; birch pegs; northern forest steppe.
