The influence of some environmental factors on the respiratory rate of the flat oyster (Ostrea edulis L.)

Quantitative regularities of flat oyster respiration rate depending on a number of ecological factors have been investigated. The relationship between the rate of oxygen consumption by mollusks and their body weight has been described mathematically. The influence of water salinity and temperature on the rate of mollusk respiration in the Kerch Strait and Donuzlav estuary was studied.
