The article deals with the problems of substance abuse by women of reproductive age. An increase in the use of psychoactive substances is associated with a number of health problems, including the premature development of chronic diseases and an increase in mortality. Chronic mental disorders, depressive and anxiety disorders can also play a role in the gradual formation of drug addiction. Psychoactive substances adversely affect the chromosomes (carriers of heredity) of germ cells, both in women and men. Hormonal changes cause a decrease in natural immunity, which leads to the development of inflammatory diseases of the reproductive system.
Keywords:psychoactive substances, women of reproductive age, menstrual function.
