The high prevalence of critical lower limb ischemia (CLLI) among patients with diabetes mellitus (DM) is associated with the clinical and morphological features of peripheral arterial disease. The treatment of this category of patients presents certain difficulties, which are most often associated with multilevel lesions of the arteries of the lower extremities, as well as the presence of severe comorbidity, which in most cases leads to amputation and disability of patients
