The aim of the study is to analyze the ontology of OWL-Time and refine it in order to increase expressiveness and functionality by identifying additional semantic relationships between concepts.
The research methods used by the authors include: descriptive logic, ontological modeling in OWL.
The result of the study is a modified ontology of OWL-Time and an example of its use for modeling the relationship between periods of study in an educational program.
In the conclusions of the study, the results of testing the finalized ontological model are formulated, the adequacy of the obtained results of logical inference is assessed in the form of a set of obtained relations between instances of concepts.
