Intraoral scanning is increasingly developing in dental practice. And in order to become an alternative to traditional methods of taking prints, they must match or surpass them in accuracy and convenience. The aim of the work was to compare the advantages and disadvantages of optical prints compared to traditional prints. Five participants had 3 impressions from the lower or upper jaws. For traditional methods, the following were used: A-silicone and alginate mass. From the side of digital methods: 3Shape Trios. A special program Orachek 5.0.0 was used for comparison. The digital prints were identical in accuracy to A-silicone and much more accurate than alginate masses. The accuracy of scanning the entire arc approaches or exceeds the accuracy of some traditional impression materials and this indicates the potential of digital methods.
