In recent years, one of the most relevant trends in the national economy has been digital transformation, which has affected enterprises in all sectors, including industry. With the support of the state, programs are being implemented in the field of digitalization of industrial enterprises in order to increase their competitiveness, both in the external and domestic markets, as well as, as a result, increase the competitiveness of the entire Russian economy. The article examines the concept of digital transformation of industrial enterprises, modern methods of digitalization and automation of industrial enterprises, features of digitalization of industrial enterprises in Russia, identifies problems and prospects of digital transformation of industrial enterprises in Russia. The paper considers such methods of automation of industrial enterprises as process control and management, robotics, production management information systems (MES, ERP), enterprise management systems (PLM), real-time data collection and production process management systems (SCADA and HMI), automatic identification systems, data analysis and Big Data., the concept of "smart manufacturing" combining physical and digital technologies (Internet of Things (IoT), cloud technologies, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning) to create automated and self-organizing systems, digital twins, energy management, additive manufacturing (3D printing), platforms for collaboration and remote work. Digitalization of industrial enterprises requires an integrated approach, including strategy development, selection of appropriate technologies, adaptation of business processes and staff training.
