The article provides information on the use of silver nanoparticles in the treatment of tuberculosis. Materials and methods. Silver nanoparticles of a certain size and concentration were used for the study. The effectiveness of the antimicrobial action of nanoparticles was evaluated in in vitro and in vivo models of tuberculosis infection. The research methods included the analysis of the effects of nanoparticles on pathogens, the study of their effect on the development of infection and the evaluation of treatment results. Results. The study showed that the use of silver nanoparticles in the treatment of tuberculosis is highly effective in inhibiting the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, which causes tuberculosis. Silver nanoparticles have a strong antimicrobial effect and are able to effectively destroy pathogens, including those that show resistance to standard antibiotics. Conclusions. The use of silver nanoparticles represents a promising approach in the treatment of tuberculosis and other infections. Their powerful antimicrobial action and low toxicity make them an attractive option for use in clinical practice. Further research may provide a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of action of silver nanoparticles and expand their use to fight infections, including tuberculosis.
