In the paper, the problem of the current utmost distribution of archives of the great English scientist Isaac Newton, is studied. A direct connection is made between so great dispersedness of Newton’s archives and the sale of 1936 at London auction house Southeby’s. It is demonstrated that at present there are twelve largest library archives of Newton and much more private collections. A number of Newtonian manuscripts are deemed to be lost forever.
