Religious consciousness as an object of cultural research

Despite significant developments in the field of psychology of religion and religious consciousness, a number of fundamental and applied questions remain unanswered in modern science. With the noted complexity of the social-philosophical, sociological, religious analysis of spiritual formations, the study gave the characteristics of the basic concepts of the psychology of religion. Author's observation testifies to the preservation today of that characteristic for primitive structure of religious consciousness, in which the inner world of the “I” is turned outward.
