To the question of research of a phenomenon of step (patchwork) families in the modern socio-psychological science

In the article there is analyzed the concept of blended family which isn’t yet widely studied in Russian social psychology. The contents of the term "blended family" are specified, corresponded terms in Russian science are revealed; the main directions of studying of the phenomenon and existing gaps are defined. The conclusion is drawn on need of observation of the phenomenon in dynamics; the inopportunity of defining of blended family as panacea of development of family institution is reasoned.
