The article presents the results of a study on the relationship between the psycho-emotional state and sexual behavior of HIV-infected men at different stress stages of diagnosis. The authors identify the most stressful stages, form groups of subjects in accordance with the objectives of the study (four groups of HIV-positive men (n=115) and a group of men who do not suffer from chronic infectious diseases(n=30)), formulate the main characteristics. The study uses the following methods: a specially designed formalized social questionnaire; sexual history; scale of hopelessness A. Beck (eng. Beck Hopelessness Inventory); methods of determining the dominant state (Kulikov L. V., 2003). full version; SF-36 quality of life assessment (Ware J. E. J.,1994). As a result of the analysis of the obtained data, conclusions and directions of further work on the study of this aspect of the spread of HIV infection among the General population are formulated.
