Psychological well-being in moderns studies: approaches, controversies, prospects

Traditionally, military psychology focuses on psychological states directly related to deployment. Last years, increased attention to more complex constructs, such as psychological well-being, becomes evident in professional literature. The article analyzes contemporary approaches and studies of military personnel’s psychological well-being as well as influencing factors. It is concluded that psychological well-being is a multidimensional construct, influenced by variety of factors, among which social support is of a special importance.
