Formation of the Georgian national idea

Based on the modernist concept of the theory of nationalism, the emergence of the modern Georgian national idea dates back to the middle of the 19th century. The article examines the historical context of that period, and also analyzes the main ideas that influenced the formation of the Georgian national identity.
