Comparative study of the severity of depression in high school students and university students

The article presents the results of a study of the severity of depression, its structure, and the manifestation of one of the structural components – a sense of hopelessness – in students of the 11th grade of secondary school and university students of different courses of study; comparative empirical data of depression severity and by samples of young men and girls are given; attention is drawn to the need for psychological work with students with signs of subdepression for the prevention of suicide.
