Cultural relativism as an important determinant of intercultural communication

The article reveals the mechanisms and stages of the transition from ethnocentrism to ethnorelativism through a change of paradigms - from absolutism to relativism. A range of issues and problems arising in the process of intercultural communication is presented. Culture is considered as a communicative system. The article uses theoretical and methodological materials on intercultural communication. It is proved that multiculturalism should become an important human and social value.
