E The article presents the results of a theoretical analysis of the importance of attachment in the formation of a mentally healthy personality. As psychological practice shows, early childhood experience of relationships in the family is often the cause of the development of mental trauma. Individuals with childhood trauma develop a wide range of symptoms - emotional dysregulation, negative self-esteem, and difficulty with interpersonal interaction. These symptoms form a complex post-traumatic stress disorder. In this theoretical study, attachment is considered as a determinant of the development of complex post-traumatic stress, a comparison is made between types of attachment and symptoms of complex post-traumatic stress.
Keywords:attachment, types of attachment, complex post-traumatic stress, developmental trauma, symptoms of complex post-traumatic stress
