The article is devoted to the study of the phenomenon of the culture of everyday leisure and recreation in modern Russia. The author substantiates the relevance and significance of the research topic. It is indicated that leisure is one of the components of a person's life creation, the organization of which is carried out depending on his strategic life guidelines and individual request for the desired good, the request of the social, as well as on the cultural trajectory set by time, the state, social institutions and other interested entities. The leisure trend created by society for a long time formulates a broadcast cultural image of the country (for example, the most reading country in the world). According to the author, everyday leisure acquires a different conceptual meaning if we consider it as part of the idioculture of a separate person – an individual, which is formed and develops depending on his social and economic status, macro- (for example, marital status) and micro-environmental (for example, the influence of the environment), in which he went through the early stages of socialization and lives in adulthood) of direct influence factors. It has been suggested that the choice of a daily pastime option, and at the same time the ideological culture of a person's leisure, is also and continues to be influenced by indirect factors, such as epidemiological and political ones. At the same time, it is concluded that, regardless of the prospective dynamics of the process of transformation of the idioculture of leisure, its inherent value for Russians will always remain a priority.
